Over at FreelancePF, the blog for my freelance writing business, I have started a new challenge, of sorts.  I am going to attempt to read and review all 99 of the “Personal MBA’s” official reading list. I may not be a real MBA when I am done, but it should provide a better education than staying at the Holiday Inn.

Feel free to check out the FreelancePF blog and follow along as I attempt to learn all that important “business stuff” they neglected to teach us lawyers in law school.

Business Start-Up

For those of you who are interested in such things and are not already aware, the FreelancePF blog focuses on my recently started freelance business, which I began when I sold my former personal finance blog: Broke Professionals.  Aside from the Personal MBA challenge, on FreelancePF I will continue to blog regularly on FreelancePF about the ups and downs of my business, freelance work in general, and personal finance as a niche.

Anyway, since I am running multiple blogs I simply figured I would let everyone know about that new feature, which will run every Friday starting April 29 and until 2013, God willing.

Branding and Future Site Content

On a final note, part of Broke Professionals “brand” that I strived for was the idea of a personal blog with “television style” regular programming.  By that I mean that I created with my wife various reoccurring features for the site.  Some features such as our painful attempt to go a month without eating any food outside our apartment were very successful.  Others, like our attempt to have our dog randomly pick stocks and go up against the S&P 500 were flops (no offense Sophie).  Still, I think that regular “programming” was part of what made our former site a relative success in such a short period of time.

Thus far, I have not gone that route on Debt Payer.  I would appreciate some feedback on whether I should start coming up with “theme” or recurring “television style” programming on DebtPayer; and if so, what types of things you would be interested in reading about.

Have a pleasant holiday weekend!
