Review of PromotionCode.Org

Overview

PromotionCode.Org is another in a long line of websites aimed at saving consumer’s money by pooling various online codes.  These codes can then be plugged in to various websites at checkout–saving you money.

For instance, I spend a lot of money on Godaddy.com.  (for obvious reasons).  So, I typed in Godaddy at the PromotionCode site and I was provided with a ton of different options for saving money on various Godaddy products.

Home Page

Promotioncode.org has a clean looking homepage and appears to run smoothly.  It has sort of a retro feel to which creates a nice vibe.

What I Liked

Promotioncode.org appears to have an extensive database.  From big stores such as Target down to smaller venues, they have a nice selection.  One of the things that sets this site apart from other websites of this nature is that they appear to have better editorial control than most coupon code sites.  This means there is a much better chance that the code will actually work.  As you know, there is no worse feeling then going through the trouble to find a good code and then realizing at checkout that it doesn’t work.

What I Didn’t Like

My one complaint would be that a lot of the “Editor’s Choice” codes go directly to the website of the company you wish to use.  Of course this is probably how they earn affiliate money, so it makes great sense from a business standpoint.  But of course, that doesn’t make it most helpful to the audience.  I prefer that to too many ads, and it is a business.

Conclusion

I use a lot of these types of sites.  I am often disappointed because the codes are old.  I didn’t find that to be an issue–although I guess every site like this will have those types of problems from time to time.  If you need a code I would say go give promotioncode.org a shot.
