The Pittsburgh Steelers will meet the Arizona Cardinals in Super Bowl XLIII in Tampa this Sunday. The Steelers will vie for the most Super Bowl’s in NFL history with six. While they may indeed claim the title this weekend, they will fall short of the most Championships in the NFL. The Green Bay Packers have 11 dating back to 1920.
Football fan or not, commercials will also draw viewership. With good reason, they are usually very creative and outrageous that get people talking the following week. Even in the struggling economy, NBC had no issues selling the ad space at $100,000 a second or $3,000,000 for a 30 second commercial. This may worth it considering there will be 100 million people watching, but will they be paying attention?
Miller Brewing is using a frugal approach by creating a 1 second ad. Whether or not the ad is successful, they are getting plenty of free publicity leading up to the Super Bowl and you can count on everyone paying attention to see what commercial they chose to air.

I think it’s important to make sure you at least contribute enough for a company match. If you do forgo contributing a 401k, opening a rIRA would allow the flexibility of contributions while building an emergency fund.
